After high school, I attended National College in KC, MO for two years. Then I married Francis, who was a seminary student on the same campus. We moved to Nebraska, his home state, and we lived there for 42 years. I got my master's degree in social work at age 35, and worked in that field until I retired at age 62. I worked primarily in the mental health field. I worked as a mental health therapist for a Catholic agency for 13 years. Then when we needed to move to Lincoln, I opened my own practice, and was in private practice for 13 years. When my husband retired from his job, we moved back "home."
